So let's get caught up again.
I am now about 45 pounds. Getting to be a really big girl. I am so...............hungry all the time.
Mama gives me about 6 cups of doggie food. I get some in the morning and some late afternoon. No more noontime. Mama said I need to do what big girls do and they eat 2 times a day. Bummer!!
Mama and I go to bed about 9:30 or so. Sometimes I don't want to go to bed that soon and I might act a little bratty but I am really tired so I go in my crate and don't really protest-not it will do any good anyway! I am an early bird (even though I'm a dog). I like to get up early to go potty. It is still pretty dark outside , maybe 4:30 or 5. Mama says "Oh Charlie, Really???" You would think she would get used to my time but she is a good Mama and takes me out. Then I play in the kitchen for awhile before I eat. Did I tell you I LOVE TO EAT???
So I had a bath- don't like it-Nope!!! Too wet. So embarrassed - I look like a drowned rat. BUT don't I look cute after Mama's blow dries my hair.
Well I went to my favorite vet, Dr. Godwin. I really think she is cute. But she did try to do funny things like put on a Chewy mask. She thought I would be scared but Mama was smart and kept giving me yummy treats. It was ok because Dr. Godwin stayed back real far at first and then she got to pet me with her mask on. I was so....brave and it was fun.
For the serious stuff I think she has poked me with every needle possible but you know what I don't feel it cause Mama always gives me good treats so I don't care. I even got micro-chipped so if I get lost, which I will never leave home, I promise!, someone can get me back to Mama.
Mama and I go to work everyday. Mama said I am her big helper. We have so much fun. I get to play with the big dogs. We run, run, run. I love Cali, Sassy, Milly, and Cora the best. Mama won't let me play with Shoals cause he is REAL big! Sometimes I show the other dogs "how to do it". Mama is real proud when I walk nice on a leash. I want her to look good with the other people taking classes.
Sometimes I just play by myself. I had lots of fun in the pool with empty bottles. They made lots of noise and it was fun to steal 1 or 2.
Mama and I also practice having me go to a mat. Don't know why she thinks it is important but I do it to make her feel good. Mama says it is important and will help when kids read stories to me when I get bigger.
Guess who helped Mama with a program last week? Me, silly.... Mama and I helped some girls practicing to be babysitters at the hospital to practice petting me and she told them what to do if a dog is in the house where they baby sit. I learned a lot and got so much LOVE!
Well gotta go again. Need to take a little nap. Mama and I went to the beach real early this morning. Not yet ready to go in that big ocean but I got my paws a little wet. I even jumped up into the back of the van into my crate! WOW was that a big jump!
Hope everybody has a nice 4th - This is my first. Mama thinks I am ready if I hear some big bangs but she will have the TV on very loud just in case. She doesn't want me to be scared. I love my Mama!!!
